Our favourite quotes from the LBS Africa Business Summit 2016
This year LBS Africa Club and its 15th Africa Business Summit were ground breaking in a number of ways:
Firstly, it brought to the stage a number of heavy hitters – Dr Mo Ibrahim, Founder and Chair of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation; Bob Diamond, Founder and CEO of Atlas Merchant Capital; Ken Njoroge, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Cellulant; and Sola David-Borha, CEO of Stanbic IBTC to name but a few. This was all moderated by Bronwyn Nielsen, Executive Director of CNBC Africa.
Secondly, they launch the Africa Club Early Careers Scholarship – which will allow gifted Africans the opportunity to attend London Business School in one of their Early Degree Programmes!
Thirdly, #LBSABS broke the internet!.. OK – not quite – but #LBSABS was one of the top ‘UK Trends’ on Twitter! With the Summit’s participants eager to share the insights gained at with the world, Twitter exploded with soundbites from the day.
