Africa Conference Season Begins!
Welcome to the latest instalment of your Movemeback Newsletter – bringing you exciting African opportunities, and the latest from the Movemeback Community.
Africa conference season is underway! The world’s top business schools and universities are busy finalising impressive itineraries, compelling competitions and awesome after-parties. So it’s time to whip out your calendars, pencil in dates and buy your tickets.
Our experience in partnering with some inspiring conferences last year taught us that conferences provide a unique melting point for like-minded Africans and non-Africans, inspiring participants to consider how deploy their skills and knowledge to solving some of the continent’s greatest challenges. So we’re proud to be supporting the Harvard Africa Business Conference, Oxford Business Forum Africa and LSE Africa Summit in the coming months.
First up – Harvard. With a 1500 strong audience, we expect Harvard’s conference to be nothing short of impressive! More than just talk, the conference includes a new ventures competition. If you’ll be there, look out for Movemeback cofounder Charles as he moderates a panel on ‘The Art of the Side Hustle’, at the Careers Fair, and most likely at the after party! If you’ll be at the conference and want to catch up with us, please do drop us an email. And don’t forget to get your 10% discount on ticket prices with Movemeback discount code MVMEBK20. If you can’t make it to Boston, USA, all is not lost. Following just behind are the Oxford Business Forum Africa next month, and the LSE Africa Summit in April.
With conference season in mind, we’re only too aware of how challenging it can be to keep abreast of important events in the global African events calendar, from conferences to competitions and much more. Well, fret no more! To help you out, we have launched our new African Events Page and if you’re lucky enough you might find a Movemeback discount here or there, so keep a look out! Going forward we plan to become the single central repository for high impact African events across the Globe, so do help us get started with all of your event recommendations.
Finally, we’re always looking for ways to better support the community. So if you have any thoughts, suggestions or comments, please do get in touch! And again, thank you to all of you who continue to help us shape the Movemeback community – please do continue to refer other greats to join us!
Warm regards,
The Movemeback team
